FULLY SYNTHETIC MOTOR OILS SAVE YOU MONEY,
TIME AND HEARTACHE & HELPS PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!
We understand that your vehicle may be your
second largest investment after your home and that motor oil
is the very lifeblood of this investment. What goes in your
engine determines not only the performance of your vehicle
but also your engines longevity.
For decades now, the Australian
oil consumer has been neglected and their warranties left
vulnerable as most vehicle manufacturers recommend
the use of only fully API (American Petroleum Institute)
certified and licensed oils. There's been no enforcement
of standards by any regulatory bodies and what's been going
in your engine has been largely a hit and miss affair.
Vehicle manufacturers in conjunction with the
API are now enforcing standards in Australia for the first
time.
As part of our on-going commitment to high
standards, accountability and the utilisation of the latest
technology, we offer fully API certified and licensed
oils and lubricants with the introduction of the complete
United Oil product range to the Australian
marketplace.
United Oil products are tested
to meet strict performance and emission benchmarks and have
earned the right to display the esteemed API certification
symbols. Additionally, prestigious vehicle manufacturers BMW,
Porsche, VW, Mercedes-Benz,
Volvo Car & Truck and
MTU (Detroit Diesel) have
endorsed United Oil products. All European OEM's further rely
on ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Européens d'Automobiles)
for certification.
Stringent standards as specified by the API,
ACEA and your car manufacturer ensure that you get the absolute
most out of your investment, greater driving pleasure and
peace of mind. The API certification symbols are your only
guarantee.
UNITED OIL is a fully licensed and accredited
member of the prestigious American Petroleum Institute (API)
as well as being a Quality Assured company ISO 9001:2000 under
Lloyds QA. Without ISO 9001 Accreditation you cannot achieve
API Membership (As quoted by the API). United Oil products
are covered with S$10,000,000 product liability insurance
(products to be used according to OEM recommendations).

QUOTES
General Motors - GM Supports
Latest ILSAC Engine Oil Upgrade - New engine oil can help
provide better fuel economy, maintain emissions control capability,
increase oil life, and protect your gasoline engine better.
Ford - Only Use Oils Certified
For Gasoline Engines By The American Petroleum Institute (API)
Detroit Diesel
- Only API licensed oils may be used in Detroit Engines …Be
aware that some marketers may indicate their products meet
API requirements. This is not adequate.
The API
- Most automobile manufacturers (Daimler Chrysler, Toyota,
Nissan, Mazda, Isuzu, Ford, Honda, General Motors, Suzuki,
Subaru) recommend only Starburst oils for both their current
and older vehicles….So, look for oils identified by
the Starburst Certification Mark when recommended for your
vehicle.
What is the API?
The API is the American Petroleum Institute
and they have developed a classification and licensing system
to ensure that engine oil formulations meet minimum performance
criteria and satisfy engine manufacturers requirements. API
licensed oils are subject to rigorous testing prior to licensing.
Only oils bearing the API Symbols above are therefore willing
to warrant that their oil meets these requirements. Many oils
in the Australia claim to meet or exceed these standards but
this is certainly no guarantee. Any oils that don't show the
API certification symbols may be unlicensed, unmonitored and
therefore unaccountable.
The API committee is comprised of representatives
from automobile, oil and additive companies.
